New RIB Motor with assistance from NSW Local Sports Grants
The Jervis Bay Sailing Club is thrilled to share the exciting advancements we’ve made to enhance our community-focused initiatives and environmental stewardship. Thanks to the generous support of the NSW Government’s Local Sports Grants Program, we have equipped our club RIB with a state-of-the-art Yamaha four-stroke outboard motor. This upgrade not only strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality sail training programs, power boat operator courses, and host major regattas, but also allows us to extend reliable on-water support to other clubs and community events.
Already, this enhancement has enabled us to contribute to the success of local programs, such as the Callala Bay Primary School sports program and the Nowra Community Sailing Club Annual Marathon. As we prepare to host the Aero Class National Championships with 48 boats, we are proud to see the positive impact of this initiative on our club and the broader community. Furthermore, this upgrade aligns with our commitment to sustainability by reducing exhaust emissions and improving our environmental footprint.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NSW Government for their invaluable support, which has made these achievements possible. Together, we are fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and environmentally conscious sailing community.
