Veolia Mulwaree Trust helps Launch New Safety Boat Outboard

On Saturday 1st October 2022, Jervis Bay Sailing Club launched its club safety boat with a new Yamaha 90 horsepower 4 stroke outboard fitted.  This will provide reliable and environmental aware “on-water” support to local and interstate sailors who compete in club racing and regattas on Jervis Bay. This project was made possible with the generous support from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust.

The new motor will service the clubs needs for the next twenty years and support the JBSC desires to hold local, state, and national championship events, provide reliable and safe support to the clubs’ sail training program for local youths.

The vessel is also made available to other local aquatic-based clubs to support sporting ventures by like-minded sports. Dave Hill Marine and Yamaha Australia, also providing valuable assistance in its final delivery and fitment.

The Jervis Bay Sailing Club is very grateful to the Veolia Mulwaree Trust – Community Groups Funding program to enable this upgrade to be possible.
